Just wondering what language others are fluent in...my company is starting a multi-cultural marketing initiative and are looking for people that are fluent in chinese, korean, and also vietnamese. If anyone is interested drop me a line and I can get you in touch with the right person. I work for an awesome company that really treats their employees well(starts at 30 days of vacation per year!!!!) so it may be a great opportunity for someone wanting a job with a future(good pay and good benes and depending on the area you work in possibly a great bonus at year end). Insurance background and a college degree would help your chances of getting hired but may not be required. Pete
My chinese is good but I can't read or write. Is that ok? Let me know...... Otherwise I know plenty of people who can speak, read, and write chinese and korean.
Does English count? [xx(] Oh yeah, I have a college degree (BS Mathematics & a Finance Minor). I was actually thinking about taking the 1st actuarial exam in Sept. and then get a job with an insurance company. What company is this? Consider me interested. - Tom
Actually yes I do...are you thinking about applying? As to everyone else I'll check into things and keep you posted.

If anyone is seriously interested, send me an e-mail through the site and I will get you the contact information. I checked and Hmong is not on the list but may be in the future. I can update as things progress there.
not to belittle on your company, but if hmong isn't on it's list and it's a insurnance company for minnesota, something's not right. there's a huge population of hmongs in minnesota; the majority of asians in the public school systems are of hmong descent. i'm sure thing's will change shortly when the company gets with the program... ... that or because of the hmong's so called "bad stature" with the "white" race, it might hinder the company's decision in chosing what are necessary languages; basically, they don't want hmong people as clients. no offense.
Dezavu, I think you are a little presumptious buddy. My company is a national company, so they are looking at the whole country not just MN. In fact most of our business comes from places other than MN. The other thing to take into consideration is we are growing but we are still a small company. We don't even have Spanish language materials rolled out yet which I believe is number two nationwide and will be rolled out first. They are working on expanding this in the future but the initial program hasn't even arrived yet. That being said I think the bad stature remarks are a little unfair being this program doesn't even exist yet. Beyond that, the employee base is one of the most diverse in the insurance industry and we have been acknowledged nationally by several different organizations for excellence in diversity. I hope this clears up any misconceptions you may have. Pete
