I am having an issue where none of the buttons, smilies, menus and such in the Create Post/Thread screen are working.

I know a couple others are having this issue. If you are experiencing this problem, please reply to this thread with the following information:

I haven't noticed any issues, but it's possible that I just haven't noticed. Can you post more details or screen-shot of the page and specific buttons that aren't working?

Ok, in the screenshot below, all the areas that are circled. Anything in those areas, I get nothing when I click them. Also, if I put quotes around my text in the text area of the screen shot below, it comes out with the HTML tagging for quotations. Also, hard line breaks cause the HTML code for break...the less than B R greater than.

So, yeah, I don't know what the deal is. But it broke just recently, and Aegis said she's getting it too.

The buttons have been disabled on my work computer forever...

I'm using an old version of Firefox tho, so I always attributed it to that.

I'm on FF 3.6.3 and they're working fine. I have the Adblock plus addon installed, and that's about it.

Oh, and I have the Domo-kun theme.

    Nice mspaint work :).

Nope, those buttons work for me. Do the buttons on the quick reply field work for you?

    I'm running:

    Win7 x64
Firefox 3.6.3 + ABP (and a few other plugins)
    Dark theme

Mix --- What Firefox plug-ins are you running, if any?

Ad Block Plus, and as far as I can tell, the only thing being blocked on this page is the Googlesyndication stuff.

None of that matters, because it appears the forum itself is trying to use html code when it shouldn't. This only happens on the blogs, though. Unless..

    "quotes quotes quotes"

Yeah, that works here and so does clicking on the smileys and using the buttons.

The only place I've seen this issue is the blogs section of the forum.

    Here is something in "quotes"

I can't click any of the buttons in this window either. So for me, the post reply and thread post things are borked.

I have an issue with the Light Theme, where a lot of the text seems to be the same colour as the background, so it disappears.

Here's a reply using the Light Theme...

Here's the same thing in the Default Theme...

I do *not* like the Dark Theme, so I guess I'll stick to the Default Theme for now.

However, it seems to me that all of the buttons work fine in either theme, so I don't know if this is symptomatic of the same problem Jason is having.

WinXP w/SP3 (patched to the hilt)
Firefox 3.6.3 (has NoScript installed, but is only blocking doubleclick.net on this site)

I will look into that for you Stooooooo. With the last upgrade I did a bunch of digging around with the dark theme but I just did a quick run through on the light theme since I didn't think too many people used it. I will spend a bit of time on it today and should be able to get that fixed for ya.

Also, for the other issue (buttons not working), have you tried a different theme?? I would try the default theme. That is the stock VB theme, so if it is happening on that theme, I know it is not a theme issue.
