Hey guys, I've started have this problem this past month. When I go to make a turn, my steering wheel get stuck (feels like gooey) and I have to pull it back to straighten it out. When I pull it to straighten it out, it's easy after that for a sec then it's hard again. It's like, it get stuck until i jerk it to the side a little more then it's easy (has power) but then it goes back to being hard to steer. When I'm just sitting at a dead stop and turn the wheel, it's hard then it's easy and hard then easy. I flushed the fluid and everything was fine for 3 days then the problem came back. Today, I changed the power steering pump and it's still doing it. I don't know what else to look at. Could it be that there's air bubbles in the system? The fluid is at the same level all the time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I notice that today when i backed up while turning the wheel, there's like a growl sound that it made. dont' know what it is. I replaced the ac, alt, serpentine (sp) belts also.
How can you determine if it's your rack? Edit: I notice that if drive with the ac for ten mins, my powersteering works fine.
