So my front passenger window decided to stop rolling up. It was working fine when I was removing some old tint. About a week or two later I took it out for a drive and rolled the windows down but the passenger side won't go up. I found some other posts about this issue happening and was wondering if just buying a new master switch in the driver door would be the likely issue. I tried taking the switches out and blowing them out but nothing. The front passenger switch wont roll down or up but master can roll it down. The rear passenger switch wont roll down or up but the master works up/down.
I am pretty sure the symptoms point to either the driver's master switch, or the wiring harness. Wires will break from flexing over time as the driver's door is open and shut. The rear window may have been out of commission for a long time and you never knew it.
You more than likely need a new master switch. If that doesn’t do it, it’s probably the window motor in the door.
