Thanks to the guys at RS motors, I now have a new '02 rex waggy. Parts it had when I bought it from them: springs, open ecu tune, a random lightweight pulley, tint, and a GM boost solenoid. Parts I've added: -The blacked out STI exhaust (touched up with new paint) from Fobia/eggroll -The 17" black sparco's with blizzaks courtesy of Se7enrex :yumyum: -removed the silencer/***** and ball replica in the wheelwell with se7enrex. Sorry for location of pics, will try to get some of it clean and outside in awhile. For perspective, I tried to get pics of how insanely close the sparco's cut it on fitment. And yes Erik, Epic fail on the time limit you gave me!!!
and yes, the foglight covers and bumper fell victim to my right foot this weekend. I'll be replacing the bumper when I get back on my next chunk of leave. The flog light covers do do their job. lol
nice wagon, mine looks the same, psm 2003 wrx with black painted stockers. Only mine has a liberal grille, painted side skirts, sti scoop and ra flaps:biggrin:
shush you. Plans are new bumper, black prodrive lip, black rear spats black rally armor flaps. link to said liberal grill?
I bought it used from a guy on nasioc don't be hatin' on my style I'm looking for a prodrive lip, too.
Se7enrex commented that it looks as though the grill was swapped from a sedan?? I dont remember seeing different grills though. And bullwinkle, I will be needing a tune eventually. The one the car is running on is causing an inconsistent boost, probably from the catback and intake stuff we've done.
nope I like the factory headlamps silver, and the tails are going to stay stock. I'm trying to mod it with driveability vs parked in front of a cop on the side of the road-ity. That and I'm not a fan of the smoked look. Unless its smoked salmon. Thats okay.
I kinda want to see what the two tone would look like. If it gets nicked up, its a lot easier to justify replacing an unpainted sideskirt or front lip than one that cost a couple hundred to paint. We will see!
my friend and I painted my wagon's side skirts, it eventually scuffed here and there but I liked it a lot. anyway, congrats again! Glad you like your cat back.
jack is a conventional man with a tiny bit of crazy every once and a while...the raw black look on this car will be perfect.........DAMN i spent all that time fixing the right fog light cover and you go and grenade the whole damn front end:biggrin:
geez cant wait for 2 days before I get a chance to get the pics resized an up! you marines... everything is now now now. lol. here are your pics. i guess i didnt get as many as i should have. alot of action shots though. (AKA Jack being P.O.ed at the exhaust) Will: How did the Enkies turn out?
yeah...definately bright red. A crimson would look better...I still think those wheels would look teh ghey and get you pulled over. Getting pulled over ftw...er...Lose. And yeah. I was pissed. But now I'm happy. The car needs to be retuned because of that and the intake crap we messed with, but it sounds a heck of a lot better.
PS, more pics from me since I'm in a picture mood. I figure I liked wills Idea of putting his SN on there so much, maybe if a few more of us do it we can start a fad. I've got a TON of these letters left over in case there is someone who wants some, just lemme know I'll bring'em to the tonka meet if I can go.
he probably thinks so because he always sees mine... i have a painted OBS grill. (big squares, instead of honey comb) honey comb is standard on all 02-03 wrx's
I would remove the pinstripe and tint out the turn signals on the fender or buy cf ones. The black wheels on silver is ftmfw. Looking good though.
yep, dman, you ARE the man. My bank wasnt to thrilled, but whatever, they funded part of it anyway. lol. PS, I woulda bought it out from underneath you anyway just kidding.
and thanks for all the compliments, and thanks for the help to martin and will for helping me work on it, my buddy sam that got me interested in subarus again, will who convinced me not to buy a damn volvo, and will, fobia and bee for the parts. Oh and dman for helping me out by not buying it! And thanks to the guys at RS motors for hooking me up
