Price on shaving keyhole on trunk?

Anyone know of a reputable shop that could shave the keyhole on my WRX trunk, prime, and paint it? When I debadge the trunk, the keyhole will stick out like a sore thumb, so I thought it would look better with the keyhole gone, also.

idk about a collision center (body shop) if i was you i would just look in the phone book for any custom painting type of place call a few places and get estimates... i could do it but i don't have the free time

 

Dont worry about the "collision center". this one guy at my work place had it done without an issue. i'll talk to the bodyshop manager and see if it is cool to do it on non-employee vehicles. they actually did a very good job. they did it on an OLDS 88 looks nice.

Never got your name H.o.A. but just got done talking to the bodyshop manager. he said they can do it. come in for an estimate, could get by maybe just painting the half of the trunk, maybe not. ask for dwayne peterson. tell them KO sent ya. now talkin about it i kinda want to do mine also.hehehe Oh where on the NorthEast corner of 694/61.

 

Thanks, man. I appreciate it very much. When you mean half, do you mean just the outside of it? Or did you mean just 1/2 of the outside. I would think the whole thing might need to be painted (the whole outside of the trunk) to match.

I'll go in for an estimate for sure, but might not be for a week or two, though. I'll let you guys know how much it'll cost.

I mean half just the lower bend of the trunk area where they are going to be shaving it. but they said they gotta see the vehicle 1st. oh and where not just a bodyshop, you gotta come into the honda/hyundai lot then through the hyundai service drive. the bodyshop guys are awesome when it comes to doing bodyshop stuff. i would not take my vehicle anywhere else but there. my dad got his car keyed and i brought it there and it turned out really good. brought my tahoe somewhere else and i was not satified at all, could still felt where they did not paint. paint over spray and $#!%!! but yeah come in whenever.
