I know this is a long shot but is there anyone out there that knows how to pull one apart and replace the ethernet housing? I have read a bit online on how to do it and I have the part which was 4 bucks versus 50 bucks sending it in. I figured I would ask if someone has any expirience doing this before I try it myself. Problem is it burnt out. Microsoft says this is a common problem and since I have had it for so long it is not covered under warranty anymore. PLEASE HELP!!! MUST......PLAY......COD....

Myself and Aegis have experience pulling one apart, and I'm an electronics technician, so removing and resoldering a port on the board shouldn't be a big deal.

My buddy has a 360 and his doesn't play games but it will play movies. Is that the same kinda problem you had? I'm wondering because i know he wants it fixed and that might be the same part he needs.

No my 360 plays games and movies fine just the Ethernet port doesnt work. I have tried different cables and everything. It doesnt recognize that there is a connection.

LOL. Indeed. Anyone want to trade a broken 360 for a PS3? :p
