Project Mud Rat Revisited.... *56k warning!*

    For those that don't remember, My buddy Jeff (Fishbiker15 here on the board) bought a late 80s ('88 IIRC) Subaru GL Hatch. it looked something like this:

    Then we cranked the torsion bar and front struts up, and took it wheeling!

    Then he cut the crap out of the fenders, and put some 29" Super Swampers on it (I don't have any good pics of it at this stage....but you get the idea):

    Then it sat for most of the summer.....but last saturday, we almost completely installed a 4" Allied Armament body lift kit:

    engine crossmember dropped, but only one strut extension in place (look at the control arms :laugh: )

    grinding out the old engine crossmember bolts:

    'finished' product.....it'll actually be a couple inches higher in the rear...

    Thats awesome! I heard he ordered up those diff shims, so this thing should be ready to ROCK real soon. Its gonna be awesome. i think i migh thave to ask jeff to fabricate me some lift blocks, being his turned out so well.

    nice...how about an undertray w/ a support tube that comes up and becomes a set of those sweet texas longhorns?
