One of my favorite turboz!!! GT3076r .82 and tha booooooz Still a bit left but I think it's good enough for now. (Juks, enjoy the car) Enjoy Want your car fast? Holla!
Thanks for all the help Nuke, it runs great! Like stock until WOT Peak boost is around 26.5 psi in 4th. Hit 27.4 in 5th this morning. Accidentally hit 28.8 yesterday but it took it :eek4: Not to mention a blown fuel pump fuze in the middle of a long ass bridge... Tuned by Nuke, built by Vandde, installed by Matt @ RS, bolt ons & suspension by me. It's been a long expensive journey to get this thing running, feels great to be back above the 400whp mark! Haha hey that'd be fun, we'll have to meet up sometime. Maybe Brainerd this month? I have to get my tranny rebuilt before I can hit the track, no reverse I could prolly do a 1/4 mile still. I'll get some pics of the car up when I get home Monday.
Can we get a brief mod list? Powerband looks very strong and use-able. I would like to meet this car. Nice works guys!

I'm waiting for my BC rear camber plates to get delivered so I can install those and get a good alignment done. Once I take care of that I'll get the dunlop direzza sport z1 star specs on that are just sitting in my garage. Until then I'm burning off a set of crappy all seasons For brakes I'm still running the stock brembo's with stoptech slotted rotors, stainless braided lines, cobb pads in the rear from a few years back and an old set of hawk pads in the front. (front cobb pads didn't last long) Once I get the tranny rebuilt I'll get some road racing in. I plan to go w/new pads all around for that. Any recommendations?
Sweet! My only and best recommendation is start out with what you have just as long as they are in good working condition. Get some seat time, do some shake downs in your new setup and go from there. No point in spending more on things you may never ever use, cause for most they'll never drive past their current moderate setup. I've had experienced driver tell me they're running out of pad while we're at the track. (two piece rotor w/Hawk race pads). They asked me to test drive it and they come to find out they're using too much braking, on too early, and on too long. Using moderate parts is a great learning tool, they'll allow you to learn how to define the thresholds much quicker than fancies! And keep you safer! Enjoy
Thanks! I'm having a blast with flat foot shifting right now, it's the first time I've been able to play with it  I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of 1/4 mile it does.
bwwwaaahhhhhhhh-pop-pop-bwwwaaahhhhhhhhhh!! I am absolutely lovin this! Too bad I go through over a half a tank of E85 a day :eek4:
Couple pics Here ya go, nothin too fancy! I have to admit I don't put much effort into trying to make things pretty
Hopefully soon! Right now it hinges on finding a shop to rebuild my transmission. I don't think they'll let me on the track without reverse. Something about safety... I talked to Graham Evans the other week, but he was really busy and told me to call back in like 3 weeks. Any thoughts on a good shop for a tranny rebuild in MN? I was thinking of going with the high speed gear ratio conversion that rallispec sells. I think it's the Legacy Spec B gear set if I'm not mistaken. Do you think this would help with reducing how much you have to shift in the middle of turns? My main goal is to use it for road racing. Thanks for the input!
I don't personally know of any reputable tranny shops. Not to get too far ahead of ourselves here, but if your car drives anything similar to Pheng's first version the Spec B gears would definitely compliment your power band greatly. But the greater issue you'll find with managing this type of power band on a Road Course is lack of grip. The power band is everywhere and very useable and very very strong. Having the right suspension w/matching spring rates and appropriate tires will allow you to maximize your power levels to the ground. You'll always want to avoid shifting during a corner, but with your current tune from Nuke you should short shift coming into the turn and will be just fine.
^^ What combinations of springs/struts or coilovers would you recommend for road racing and daily driving. Same for tires size wise and both DD and road racing?
The short answer is stock if you're talking about an STI! Believe it or not they do quite well. There isn't a standard combo that will satisfy everyone. The degree in how extensive you go with both tire and suspension will all depend on your comfort level with speed.
I'm basically on stock suspension, hoping that you will be at BIR for the MAP event in 2 weeks. I will be chasing FuJi:banana:
I don't think my transmission will be done in 2 weeks so I probably won't get to play much. Maybe if I can make it up there I'll see about hitting the 1/4 mile. Good luck!
I didn't realize Fuji was planning on running the RC. There isn't much for me at this event other than to show up and help make sure everyone's safe. How are the rest of your gears? Some Race car's don't have reverse ya know. LOL So why won't they let you run?
Had to miss this one, wife dragged me out to visit the fam. Got my rear camber plates in and dunlops on, back to the original gold BBS rims too. High speed gears are in the garage and a new 6 puck sprung disc is on the way, I think my street sprung might be slipping a little... Now I just need to call the shop back and see if they can fit me in! Also, had a blast back home in the UP of Michigan giving her hell! Hard to find backroads with great turns, no traffic, no cops, nothing quite like that around here. Even had to break out the AWD doughnuts just a bit
Oh well, there's always next time. I had a four day track event. Friday was a Private event with Ferrari's, Porsche's and Super Snake Mustang. Saturday was with MAP Road Course and before I left I went down the 1320 in a 600whp STI. Sunday AutoX with the Corvette club. And finally Monday with BIR School to watch two friends battle it out. I have an event this Sat at DCTC and than I'm back at BIR on July 25th. When do you expect to be back up and ready yo?
Damn dude! Busy guy! My timeline is going to depend on when I can get it in a shop to have the tranny pulled and rebuilt. I'll call Graham Evans tomorrow and another shop that was mentioned. I'll keep you updated. P&L said they could have it done in a week, but getting out there to drop it off isn't exactly convenient. Hopefully I'll find something around here...
Well, the shop I really wanted this work done by is booked solid for 6 weeks. I don't want to wait that long...P&L is like 8 hours away so that option's no good either. I talked to Subaru of Minnetonka and they can do it, but honestly, he sounded intimidated by the 6MT project. Makes me nervous about bringing it in...
