So, the guys have been working really hard on getting the car up and going. Tonight, we fixed the injector issue (lol :biggrin The 2200cc injectors do not like to be idled at 14.7 It's at a steady 12.5-12.7 :eek3: Then a quick base tune, and this is what we get View attachment 24415 Now we need to get a few more things figured out.
Fuel delivery, for this particular setup, right now, is an issue. But we'll meet on the highway soon, and you'll find out
Oh my bad, I should've updated the thread. Fobia was super nice enough to make us a quick tank. Not the prettiest, but it works. And he was also super nice and tired to weld some bolts onto the chassis LOL...that was fun
Well, what a LONG NIGHT & Early morning LOL here's an update Revision 2 And yes, that's 8k rpm for you... (2.5l y0!)
Like everything else out there....she looks better in person. And yes, she's a Subaru! Don't be deceived by the crayon drawing.
I *heard* it has a turbo....and a bathtub drain-plug. That is just what I heard... PS- Project Nighthawk still has 1hp on this one! lol
It's a bit early in the season but it's starting to sound like we might get to kill some birds with a bullet. Angry Birds?
Getting closer to finishing her up. Found the sweet spot for it's boost. Now time to play with a little more fuel and timing and we'll see if there's any gains.
I got to test drive the BB today, in short the car drives like a stock STI except for a few differences. She's very drivable, clutch was a little sensitive but that's to be expected with an aggressive aftermarket clutch. The gas paddle had great senstivity and range for the driver to decide when and how they want to apply the power. The springs you added were a great addition, it really helped put the power down and kept the car from violently shifting the weight back and forth. They also helped with the steering response even with the winter tires. Nuke great job sir! BIR?
Oh the day when I see yo car's wearing anything more realistic than 235's will be the day I'll believe you. Chica boom boom
Looks good guys! Keep it up!!! I'll have to come kick it with you guys one of these Saturday nights...
So, these projects have been keeping me busy. We finally got time to take this 'THING' out to the track (MAP's Proving Ground @ BIR) After figuring some little bugs on Saturday, we needed to make sure everything was fine. And thanks to Julius (Lowrider) for the GoPro video and as for the result @ the track... (will post once I get the slip) (Video was done in a closed private track, those houses somehow just magically appear, don't ask how)
Where was the flames from the tires going into warp......it was nice to see the car with some real tires for once.
Fuji was there for a few hours. Sucked that he had to leave, but he did get one good run in. The rest was all on mister shineynitelite
lol as you can tell by the sped and time, someone didnt want to break tens. it was good to see the car make a good run after all the IC piping mishaps.
I'm a NewB to the whole track thing... Is the car capable of breaking 10's? If you break 10's does it put you in a different class? I was thinking the 90 mph was a little low for a time that fast.
brakes and missed 5th. 10 second means need a full roll cage, i dont really know if it would put them in a diff class
