I remember Josh say " .....everybody drive safe.....cause if you get pulled over for speeding you'll get a ticket for tint too....." well something along those lines. Anyways i had the cruise set at 76 (in a 70) and the next thing i know there is a trooper behind me with the lights on. He comes up to the window and tells me he pulled me over for speeding and dark tint. He said he clocked me at 81(but my cruise was at 76) and that he'll check the tint when he is done running all my info. He comes back with his little nifty tint gauge and slides it on my drivers window and it is bouncing between 32 and 33. So he tells me to roll down the rear one so he can check that one( and i thought you could have the rear doors as dark as you want) and that one is bouncing in between 31 and 32. So he goes back to the squad car and comes back with a warning(thanks to my peachy clean record) for speeding and the tint and tells me i have to remove all the tint off the car cause its too dark, but he did not give me a fix it ticket. So its staying on!!
I saw 1 speed trap right as I was getting on I90 and I saw one trooper a little later who was just leaving after stopping someone.
Just in case (you really didn't say) if you got a warning (printed) you might consider doing something with your tint. If you get warned for an equipment violation and you are later caught in violation, it becomes moving violation, I beleive it would be misdemenor operating with knowlege of defective/non-complient equipment. I was told this by some State Trooper trainer that pulled me over with this trainee for my tires sticking out of my wheel wells.
hmmm...... $120 for new tint and pretty close i am thinking for a tint ticket. What is the legal limit on the drivers windows 35%? And i thought the back could be as dark as you want? It will suck to get them redone just to get the extra 3% i would need to pass, but it would be worse to get a ticket.
^^^ I thought your tires could stick out of the wheels well sup to 1" before it was illegal? you would need some HUGE tires to stick out that far. suck to hear you got pulled over. I though all windows must be no more than 50%, and no tint on the windhield for sedans/coupes. there were alot of cops along 61. there was also a stupid "your speed is" sign which was uber annoying.

I got a tint ticket last night on university. mine read 28%. I have no tickets, didn't help. oh.. and I forgot to put my front license plate on. Fun $250 exerience, would recommend to all.
Ever since my laser eye surgery, my eyes are more sensitive to light. I might be able to qualify for that one for real.
fleck, you may have an slight out in that with a wagon, it technically qualifies a a uitlity vehicle so you are allowed tint int eh rear three windows to an unlimited amount, but only 50% of the passenger cabin windows. Its to protect the stuff yo might sometimes leave back there from thieves and prying eyes. worth a shot anyways.
