Anyone know of a common source for an audible pulsing when turning a corner? When my 97 OBW corners I can hear a "wum wum wum wum wum..." which goes away when I straighten out. It's in the tires/wheels frequency band, so it's not engine related. I was thinking tires, but it happens when turning both directions.

    Thanks!

check the tires for uneven wear (most likely cause). Try rotating them and see if the noise changes.

PS fluid is barely on the dipstick and I just filled it in Oct! I need to investigate a leak. Are there any common places to check for a leak, or any common parts to replace? I'll refill tomorrow.

Tires are due for rotation in 1k. Maybe I'll go a little sooner now. If I can't do it myself I'll take it to morrie's or bloomington subaru.
