Although Brian suggested that I don't really need winter tires since I have a lot of thread left on my Geolanders, I won't pass up a good deal when I see one. Some guy is selling some Nokian tires that have been used for one winter. He/she doesn't know what car they came off of.

If they came off of a FWD or RWD car, should I worry about tranny/diff issues later down the line? Subarus go by the +/- 2/32" rule, don't they?

You'll love 'em if you're looking for 225/60-16 tires. :p

Doesn't matter what they came off of...uneven tire wear occurs on every type of drivetrain. Measure the tires and decide from that (unless it is obvious that they were never rotated). If they look ok, I say go for it, you will not regret it.
