A buddy and I are looking into a quadcopter/drone that will attach to a gopro and has a 2 or 3 axis gimble. We have looked at the phantom 2 and 350qx...not entirely sold on either.

    Important things
Battery life - the longer the better
    support - technical and community
parts - extra batteries, upgrades, wear items, basically availble if we need them.

We wouldnt mind starting with something basic and building it better, but if its out of the box ready it would be preffered. We also dont mind building it ourselves, we both come from building and using model airplane/helicopter in our youth, but again if its ready to fly all the better. Any advice or feedback would be appreciated.

Price range right now is sub $1500

Cant really help with decision making. As I'm just starting to look into quadcopters

But Hak5 on Revision3 is doing a series on Drones, where they are assembling, adding auto pilot and what not. Its been fun to watch

Build your own. Then you'll get exactly what you want out of it.

we ended up purchasing the DJI Phantom 2 with the new 3d gimbal and fpv. I also purchased a Hubsan x4 to practice and hone my skills. So far so good. The next one will be built.
