Hey all, A couple of weeks ago, the wife was driving home when the check engine light(s) started yelling at her. She drove another half mile or less and parked it in our driveway. It was leaking coolant, and smelled a little funny, but nothing else. According to the White Bear techs, a plastic bag blanketed the radiator, it overheated and the radiator blew. They replaced the radiator under warranty, and she was on her way. Fast forward to last night and the same thing happened. She stopped immediately, and we had it towed back to White Bear. Turns out the head gasket went due to the damage from overheating. It's being taken care of under warranty again, so I really want to make sure everything is good to go from here on. So my question is this; what else should we be aware of? They'll have the motor apart to replace the gasket, and I'm sure they'll have a look around, but can we ask for any other specific parts to be looked at? It only has 55k on it, so I'd really like it go another 150k for us. Thanks!
Ya, that crossed my mind. I'll mention it to the dealership. I know this is a boring thread, but I like the input. Thanks!
