What does everyone do that has an EGT gauge and an autometer O2 sensor gauge?? Seems to me that since the stock O2 sensor and the autometer O2 sensor are different then you would need 3 holes in your uppipe. 2 for the two O2 sensors and 1 for the EGT. Anyone running this setup? Just wondering before I drill a 3rd hole in my aftermarker up pipe.
You want the egt as close to the head as you can get it. Also, the autometer 02 gauge is kinda worthless unless you have the wbo2 version. if you do, you need to install it after the turbo. Pressure will sku the readings of a wbo2. Also the wbo2 sensors like a certain temp range to run in, and anything before the turbo is to hot. If you autometer o2 sesnor is just the narrow band sensor, you will just end up with a light show. There isn't any usefull info that comes from the narrow band sensor. Russ
Thanks, yea right now I have the stock O2 sensor on the car. I have the autometer O2 sensor in hand as well as an EGT. So I will put the EGT in the manifold and the up pipe that I bought comes with a bung for the stock O2 sensor already. so I am guessing that the stock O2 can run before the turbo. So I will put the Autometer O2 in the DP and should be alright. do I even need to run a stock O2 sensor if I am going to be running Cobb Stage II since I can clear the code?
Leave the stock front o2 sensor alone!!! It is used for closed loop fueling and is an ESSENTIAL sensor. BTW, it isn't located in the uppipe (the stock egt probe is). The front o2 sensor is just before the uppipe in the passenger side manifold.
If you are not installing a wbo2 sensor, don't bother. The info you get from a narrowband is worthless. Russ
