Question for you about Car of the Month Contest

Hey kids,

I've got a question for you all about the Car of the Month contests.
There were only two entries last month which was fairly disappointing as it was my first month of running it so I want to know two things.

1. Is this something you enjoy and you think I should continue to run it- or should we let it go away?
2. Would you like me to list the topics that I plan to do for the year, or maybe for the next six months so you know what's coming?

I enjoy the car of the month contest, but I don't think it needs to have a topic every month. There can be months where it is just a free-for-all and the people entering can post pictures and tell their own story about why they should win. Maybe every 2nd or 3rd month can have a special topic, otherwise any subaru is fair game. So, I had to vote for "Gridlocked is stupid and smells like old people" above because there was no "Other" option.

 

Yeah, but I'm using some and not using most.
I had a few of my own ideas that I think you'll like...

HA! Good use of the smells like old people option! And, there will defenately be more than one free-for-all months, but I want some structure to it. I think themes are good because it keeps the cars entered focused into groups.

Keep it coming! I think the topic for last month might might have left a lot of the members out of having the opportunity to even enter. Although i'm not sure how many members have '08+ so maybe my assumption is way off. Seems the majority of vehicles here fall in between '92-'07.

 

Rules:
-Entries can NOT contain models from 1992-2007.

 

ive been waiting to enter a few pictures for months now but my car never really qualifies...but keep them coming i like it!!

a simple set of guidelines. Because I can enter again an I might win because many people know me. I don't want to win just because of that.

Who's got the better looking wheels? exterier, inside.... etc. focusing on a specific will make things interesting. Of course we can have the free-for-all ones too. The voters are the judges.... just have it set to what they should be looking for for a particular month may it be "cleanest," "hella flush," race car-like.... etc.

 

I think that the lack of entries is due to the weather. It's tough for people to want to get out there and take pics of their cars when their fingers are freezing to the shutter button. Don't lose hope!

 

No hope lost, I'm just getting opinions and doing some self-advertisink.

 

I like COTM, but I had to do the old ppl one, because it's funny

And I like COTM. I like being suprised every month. I'd prefer not to know the topics in advance.
