I disconnected my battery last night on my car and cleaned up the battery termanals because they were alittle bit corrated. When I connected the battery back up and went to start the car it was like it was flooded with gas even though I did not put the gas at all. I disconnected it 2 times to see if it was just a glich in the computer at that point and it did it both times. Anyone know why it might do this?
hold it to the floor and start it, its hard to explain why it happens, but it happend on my lumina every time i had the battery out, holding the gas to the floor turns the injectors off, it should fire right up
It fires up when you go to start it but after it starts and you let off the gas it dies. They only way that it will stay running is if you keep the rpms at 1500-2000 for about 2min. And now it idles at 500 rpms instead of 1000 which now it feels like it is going to die.
its something with your map, my car did the same thing when i disconnected the battery. ask bikerboy he knows what it is.
I noticed today while I was driving that every time I let off the gas the rpm needle bounced up and down a lot between 500-1000rpms.
Notice the thread name...GM!!!! Not a subaru, so I doubt bikerboy has any clue on a map issue for frickin buick regal!
