it should say in the manual. I replaced mine on my previous RS. I'm thinking about 100k. And yes, i would highly recommend to change the T-belt along water pump and tensioner, bearing, coolant (optional)
man, i'm at 116k miles and i need to change mine. I'm waiting for bikerboy to get back before i can unless someone wanna offer to do it for me. I'll pay for labor and parts.
I'm a frog hair away from 120,000...probably should do mine, although, Minnetonka Subaru said it looked fine! hahaha...lucky batch of belts I guess. "My b3ltz r t3h b3Tt4r!" LOLZ
Wow. I know Mitsubishi and Lexus and Toyota all do their timing belts every 60. Yes, timing belt + water pump + TBelt Tensioner + coolant change. Spark plugs usually, too.
Usually not. I've ran two to 200k w/ no problems. I've also always changed my timing belt at 60k. Takes 1-2hrs.
I've had tensioners/idlers take out belts more than belts fail on my EA soobs.....I don't worry about it much because all my soobs are non-interference. but you guys with the newer cars should be careful. broken belt = destroyed motor. in fact, now that I think of it, both of my '88s broke a timing belt within a day of buying them  we've always shot for 80k. but both mine and my dad's are pushing 100k since their last big overhaul...
