Whats the difference between a racing catback and a street catback. More specifically the race version on the Invidia N1 and the Street version?

Race=no resonator=extra loud but cheaper This is what I have and I love it but I was pulled over for it being too loud just last week(no ticket)

I think the street version also had a flex section in it.

Well as you know kevin I have the street one with the resonator and flex section. Because of the flex section I had a problem with the resonator bumping against the underside of the car so I had to bend the exhaust hangers a little bit. Basically the race one will be louder.

Haha, i thought it had to do with the resonator, I guess im just curious to how much louder the race version is, i have been doing well at the casino, and kind of want to spend my cash before i lose it.

Is there a performance difference? I should say, does anyone know if there's a noticeable difference. I like the sound of the race version, but it could be tough as a daily driver.

    imo get the resonator unit.
it will keep the droning down.
if you go with EL headers & no resonator in the future, you will hate life.

a cat back doesnt include the cat.. downpipes either eliminate or keep the cat..

anyway race cat back systems and street are engineered slightly differently with no REAL difference other then sound..

races can weigh only 10 lbs and be made from titanium, so there is a big difference,
