I doubt they will stand by that in a state that their product is illegal.

I have one. Its by Blinder international. The M20. It friggin' works too. Coupled with my V1, it's pretty slick. You can still get busted with instant-on radar techniques used by the po-po, using standard radar. But, it definately works against laser. It's saved me from at least 5 laser tickets. :)

not sure why it would get ousted. It's just an informational thread. Too dark of tint is illegal. A dirty license plate is illegal. I've been pulled over twice in two nights because of that. I have since washed the car.

The thing is. Just don't drive like an idiot. A speeding ticket is an "idiot tax" anyway. I've got two. I must be an idiot. But since then, I foudn a way to lower my chances of getting tagged.

Normal radar jammers/diffusers are illegal in EvERY state. That is federal law. But you can still get them. Made by Scorpion I believe. But Laser blinders are only illegal in a few states. Unfortunately, minnesota is one of them. But that shouldn't mean you can't chat about it. It's not I'm talking about a bomb on a plane.... ;)

Having your "legal" radar/laser detector mounted on the windshield is also illegal in MN.

I dont think so because i have had to deal with the cops on several occasions and they have seen mine mounted in the windsheild and once asked me to turn it off because it kept beeping:laugh:

"169.14 SPEED LIMITS, ZONES; RADAR. - Subd. 12. Radar jammer. For purposes of this section, "radar jammer" means any instrument, device, or equipment designed or intended for use with a vehicle or otherwise to jam or interfere in any manner with a speed-measuring device operated by a peace officer. No person shall sell, offer for sale, use, or possess any radar jammer in this state."

By this definition, "laser jammer" aka "radar jammer" could be considered illegal. (see "any instrument" in description)

Underage drinking is illegal too. So what?

Break the law and pay the fine if you get caught.

That is correct. Laser or radar jamming devices are against the law in the State of Mn.

It's also against the law to have anything mounted on the windshield/rear view mirror that obstructs viewing. That's more of a discretionary call by the PO.

Just build one....there's sites all over the interweb about how-to. I had one grill mounted back in highschool with a interior switch. You never get speeding tickets but you get pulled over a lot. Cops don't like it when their radar reads 220, then 15, then 65 since you braked and shut it off....

I have a V1 and the passport laser shifters...been pulled over with the V1 and even argued with the officer about his tagging of me and no problems. My passport system however is very illegal but I sitll got it and will use it...have saved my ass too many times not to keep it even though I would get screwed if I was caught with it

I avoid speeding except when taking logs, and then the potential fine would be enormous. :ugh:

Um well, my 6 1/2 year streak with no tickets just came to an end this morning. i was tired and driving slower than usual and as such, not paying much attention. was told I blew past him going 86 in a 60 on 494 but he put me down as 79. Just before I was just thinking to myself at how I should prob be paying attention even at that speed but wanted to get ahead of some more cars before getting into the right lane to exit. generaly I just keep a less than 100 rule. booo, and here ive been warning people about the 494 policy for so long too.

So ya... im going shopping this week.
