OK I have for a while now had a buzz in my radio.. especially am radio.. whats weird is if I have the car off, radio on and open the door it is really loud and as the interior light dims down the buzz does too...

where do I start looking for a problem...

I have never had the radio out or apart!!! havent had the dash apart?? havent really done a whole lot with the wiring on the car??

SO I dont know... anyone else had this experience?!?!?! seems to be only on am radio... I think

I'd take the radio out and look for a connection that may have come loose. Maybe a wire's rubber coating wore off or something.

My guess is with the windows down the radio waves are reflecting differently and aplifying the ghost noise. Radio waves do funny things sometimes.

Usually a buzz in the radio indicates a groundloop someplace in the system. Do you have any amps?? I would check the grounds on the back of the radio.

nope everything is stock... NEVER pulled it out.... never said anythign about the windows... I said when the door overhead light goes dim the buzz dims too.. when engine off ignition on...

I will just have to look for a short I guess.. that's what i figured but cant work out why or how when its never been pulled out
