In those pics it definitely is open and very light! Hehehehe!!!!!!

Good to see another team starting up. Just out of curiousity, what made you decide to build your first car rather than buy a prepared one? Or is this not your first rally car?

It will be nice to see it when it's on stage. Hopefully we get to make it out to one or two rallys this year.

Yes carl, open light, but being built so someday it can go full open, once i get bored, its not going to be a regular open light tho...

it is the first rally car i have owned, but not the first i have built, i work for rally worx doing service, and chassis prep, the biggest reason is that my best friend builds the cages for us, so i only paid for the tube, the rest like the 5spd Dccd dog box, R160 lsd rear end and other parts were purchased as spares by rally worx back when Bob olson raced the national circut in an open car, and since his retirement i was able to pick them up at a discount

That's understandable. If it's available, might as well take advantage of it. Most people starting in rally just don't understand how much money is involved in building a car from the ground up the right way.

How is Bob doing? Haven't talked to him or Conrad since the last nemadji they ran. I used to work with Conrad many years ago.

I really have not talked to either since he stopped racing. His last DNF, in black river stages, didnt end well. he heeled physically, but lost interest in rally...risk over reward...

As far as I know, Bob's operating the Danza del Sol Winery out in California (which sponsored MaxAttack this past season).

when's the car going to be done? RallyMN?

Nothing new. Just trying to reduce the chance of sellers scamming/hurting the search for prices etc... Unfortunately, the honest group suffers by not being to edit after a set amount of time(15 mins?)

Got the first post updated, if you need anything else feel free to PM a mod or post what you want updated and we'll take care of you. Cool build btw!

car will be done in a month or so i hope, not expecting any delays, but its just an as time premits build, got full time jobs and such, hopefully for Rally mn, i might use lessons learned by carl, and many others, and start off at O'neal b4 i ever race it on stage.

thanks bennyB. is it not possible to apply that only to the for sale sections?

i added more build pics to my photo bucket link in 1st post.

dash is trimmed and mocked in so i can fab seat and steering wheel brackets. dimple died gussets take forever, pin stands are in, well they were in b4, actually in use now, front ones are tied into the front feet of the cage, front strut towers are attached to the cage thru the fire wall. once the drivers seat is in, the main hoop X, harness bar, and door Xs can be fitted and installed, and roof X, then more and more gussets. cage may be done by saturday. then off to media blasting and powder coating after that.. stay tunned for more updates
