agreed! and ive never rallyx'ed before, so this would be a great thing for me to do to get ready for my first season next year
how much are full memberships? and can the $15 for this apply for a membership next year? also dave, if i go which of my cars should i use? 2002 2.5rs auto, or 2006 WRX Limited?
great question, I'll have to verify how that works. I'd drive the 2002rs I have a couple locations available to us. It will be in a central location for sure
w00t think I can make this! my helemet was stolen this summer so does anyone have a small helmet I can borrow?? I know the loaner helmets are all really big.
I'll see about getting time off to come out and shoot you guys... And maybe meter off something other than the snow this time (because nobody likes snow when it's 18% gray).
I will be there!! I just need a helemt!! someone help a poor girl out...show those thieves they cant stop me from having a good time.
what size is your head? i have a huge dome... dave, i am not going to sign up unless there is snow on the ground. and carl needs to do this.
I will do sooo many bad things to you at the next rally if you don't sign up. :eek3: Picture yourself screaming slideways in 2nd gear while navigating a corner... Now picture yourself doing that 20+ times in one day... doesn't that sound like a ton of fun?
Yes, you can. That is exactly what they are there for. Talk to Mark U (mayhem) about the specifics on how to redeem them.
Yes The LoL bucks can be used for the entry fee (LoL event) but not the weekend membership (SCCA fee). Let me know the 5 digit number on the voucher and paypal the rest via the normal process.
alright!!!! Looks like we already have a few people signed up!!!! Come on everyone else get your butt and car in gear!
Still up-in-the-air if I'm going to have plans that weekend. If they fall through, I'm totally there.
Woot, I'm there! That's when my winter break starts, great way to kick it off. Would instructors be willing to drive student cars? That was one thing I was trying to get for the last few events, some outside feedback on the car, but the whole co-driver thing didn't materialize well.
I am sure the instructors would be happy to drive your car. However, you need to specifically ask. The instructors will not ask you. We do not want to make this about how many different cars we get to drive.
I learned a lot this year riding along with Mayhem driving my car. Most of all I learned, I have a lot to learn. But I also learned, coasting is for roller coasters not for race cars. Amy
Haha, yeah. If you're not on the gas or the brakes, you're probably doing something wrong. A lot of people will push their car here and there but simply won't do it at every point of the entire course. That was one thing I had to train myself to do, keep pressing that gas pedal. Even if it's through a corner, keep feathering the throttle and try to squeeze out a little more speed. It's probably the biggest thing that's gotten me faster. I know I'm light on braking, but it's more of a mindset of I'd rather come in slow and stable and run a tight, clean line then to come in wild, spend time reeling in the car, and ending up with a crap line. However, the nearly complete lack of me pretty much ever locking up tires does show I'm being a bit gentle coming into corners, especially on a deformable surface.
reminder: You must be singed up no later than 12/04. If we don't have enough people the event will be cancelled
