RallyCross?

Anybody got info on any RallyCross events left this year? Never done RallyCross before but I'm just itching to try it with my '97 OBS.

I don't think they're running any more this year. It isn't getting as much support now that the SCCA doesn't cover any other rally events, just RallyCross apparently. However all the folks that used to run the rallycross are a little bitter about the SCCA dropping American rally.

I'll have to check again though, I may want to dirty up my new car soon.

 

I got this from www.rallycabal.com which was quoted from somewhere else. I'm going to try to make it. It's quite a drive from the top of wisconsin but I really need to rally-x at least once this year.

Yeah, those guys are based out of IL so most of their events are in that direction. We used to have local ones run in Corcoran most recently but you'd have to check with Scott Putnam to see if he knows if they're running them still. Last I heard the local ones were done for the season.

 

I'm pretty sure it's just across the st. croix river from minneapolis. So it would be close for you minneapolis guys. I'm going to drive down from ashland and try to make it. Hopefully I'll see a bunch of you guys there.

The group putting this rallycross on is your local SCCA region, Land o'Lakes region. Not a group out of IL. We are NOT done for the season as we have both a September and October RallyCross scheduled.

The reason the season was gutted was nobody was willing to do the work required to organize the events. If you want more events, we have a package of information that can help you with that task. If you organize the event you either get first place points automatically or a free entry. If you arrange for and finalize a new appropriate venue, you get free entry for a full season.

I know a guy up north with quite a bit of land, it's a little rough, and rolling, but if the corners where well-planned it would be awesome! hopefully I'll have an XT6 to run by next summer!

 

does anyone know if this is still going down.. also whats the entrance fee?

and my guess is that it will be $30. I'm not positive, but I think that's what the eagle river one is going to be, so I hope it's around that price.

 

I don't know if I currently have the money to do this right now. It would be a 4 hour drive for me and that's quite a lot of gas and money. I'll figure out for sure later tonight and see if I'm up to it.

I'm really sorry. But I'm not going to make it to this one. I actually got a job broadcasting my school's soccer games online. Tomorrow there are two games so I have to be there. Good luck and take some pics, I want to know how this went.

The next Rallycross event will be at the same location on Oct. 30th. If you want more information than Rallycabal offers, join the Rally-MN Yahoo group where everything gets posted first. That is the main source for all rally-related information in Minnesota.
