I was looking at the build of the race taxi VW bus and it raised a question. Since the engine and tranny are in the rear of the car how does the shifter work? Is it electronic or is there just some crazy linkage system?

I would think just like a honda FWD. Cables. My Fiero definitely had some long cables for the shifter.

They can run the same hydro clutch systems we use in the subies. just and extra 17ft of hardline to get back there.
