Hello my fellow Subies! I am sooo sad that I will be selling my lovely ride. My loss is your gain. It's time for me to invest in my education and you get a rare and unique American/JDM Impreza. Please take a look at my super clean, super fast STI... Standard options: All wheel drive, power windows, locks JDM STI standard options: Power folding mirrors, rear wiper, Limited Slip differential, 4 piston STI calipers, STI 2.0 Turbo motor 86,000 Kilometers or converted in US metrics is 54,000 miles - JDM STI motor 8000RPM Red line - 2011 STI front seats (modified brackets) - STI rear seats, STI carpent, headliner ect. - REAR WIPER *Auto Folding Mirrors - 5 speed manual trans with Limited slip Diff - light JDM bumper supports and bumpers - Crystal headlights with aftermarket HID headlight bulbs and ballasts - STI brakes front and back *STI cluster 8K - STI complete interior swap, door panels, doors etc. - All complete wiring and JDM STI ECU - STI Aluminum hood - STI wheels, gas tank, full suspension, sub frame EVERYTHING from the complete car is swapped over and I do mean Everything even the different location antenna, even the bolts, even the full wiring harness (extended) the fenders, doors, trunk, spoiler, hood, everything. This car is extremely light, the Impreza L is 2,700 pounds, with the STI parts (aluminum hood 22 lbs lighter) (bumper supports, etc etc) the car now weighs 2,473 pounds with gas and without a person in it. The current power is stock, with stock down pipe and cats but with Titanium HKS exhaust and Perrin pulley its putting down around 283 to the wheels at stock PSI. This car moves very quickly through the gears and is almost alarmingly fast. Handles like a dream. There is no Rust or any strange problems with this car. Does 0-60 in around 4.2 Seconds!!! I just got the rear brakes, rotors and oil change done so it's a smooth ride!!! I went all the way to Japan to make sure I got an authentic JDM Impreza to swap all the parts, so this STI is true racer status. Even heads turn fast when I zoom by =) I put a lot into this mean machine. I'm willing to sell it for $14,000. I'll review offers. Please contact me for more details. I would be happy to answer and questions. Thank you for your time!
Just pm'd you last night. Pm me your number and lets work something out. I'm very interested. Thanks!
I note you're careful to not list the transmission as being a swapped piece. What is the source? Do you have a build/swap diary, pics of the in-process work? pics of the donor? Did you do the work yourself? Did you have it done professionally?
Haha I wish I could drive my right hand drive around more... it's in the garage as a toy to play with.. we switched the US parts. Might give it up one day, but it's reminiscent of Japan for me...
Awwe gee thanks!! I like details too... I hope I can find a good MNsubaru enthusiast to transfer my goods to...
I see that you're very careful with your analysis =) The transmission is the JDM STI transmission with limited slip differential. The clutch has only like 200 miles on it. Rest assure I was very careful to brake in the clutch properly. I also just changed the timing belt. Everything is always done professionally because I spoil my STI. It wasn't really a build as much as a total swap over from the 4 door JDM sedan that I bought and shipped on a boat straight from Japan. I have the shell of the JDM that could be inspected and even purchased at a good price if you were interested in getting the STI. Then you can have a right hand drive beast to tinker with. Frames lighter and authentically Japanese. You can make a bed out of it or whatever you please... =)
I'm sick to my stomach I can't buy this man. This is one of the nicest swaps I've ever seen. You did it right starting out with an L and then swapping down to the detail of the rear wiper/antenna, etc. Perfection and well worth the $14k you're asking.
Looks great, sad to see that you have to sell it. Someone will be very happy with it. Post some more pictures like the interiors.
Oh thank you sooo much!! I'm glad you noticed the details and how much time and energy that was put into the complete swap. The asking price is just a little part of how much time and money I've put into making this STI the ultimate Japanese machine!!
You're too kind!! I am super duper sad, but I am patient to get it to the right buyer. Then yes someone will be riding around in style in this suped up Subie!!
When/where was this swap done at? Did you actually do the work or buy it like this? Just curious as I have not seen this around MN before. Looks very nice, good luck with the sale. Ben
