    Canon Digi Cam Error

    my canon SD200 digital camera is now refusing to take pictures. i can view the picture i have taken previously but if i start the camera in picture mode it gives me the eroor message E18. any one know anythign about this?

    do you have to many old pics on the card?

    hmmmm, a have a couple from about 3 weeks ago. would that affect the camera?

    could be a corrupt formatte on the card.

    i removed the card and the E18 still pops up. canon said it was a shutter malfunction. and that a low batery shut down could have caused it. i charged the battery and tried again, no go. next step will be warranty.

    sorry eriks its an E18 not EJ18. lol. anyway the problem is solved. when the camera was shut off with low battery the shutter didnt close all of the way. so i let my dad take a crack at it. one smack on the desktop and it works perfect.

    hehe, i know. i was just kind of scared about doing it to a digital camera, being its kind of a delicate thing, not a computer or car part.
