    New ATF, and Diff Fluids

AHA! i finaly got around to putting in new fluids. Thanks to Spevinator for the use of his Garage!

the fluid transfer went fairly smoothly after i was able to crack open those bolts on the rear diff. other then that there were no real problems except the lack of a funnel, and my tranny dipstick being wierd.

the funnel issue was easily remidied. that dipstick was just playing w/ me all night. i found it impossible to tell where i was on the darn thing. luckily i got the proper amount in.

i got some picks to post up. including Klesk & his axle predicament

NAPA sucks  After putting in the new axel cuz my old cv boot was torn, I took the car for a little test drive with Spevinator and Martin. Was driving at about 2 mph and all I hear is a ticking. Let me describe it: tick....................................tick, tick, tick..............tick...tick.....................tick, tick........................tick......tick........tick............tick...................................................................tick. The ticking didn't go with the rotation of the tire, it was kind of random. So I pulled it into the garage and we did some thinking along with alot of of swearing(mostly on my part.....OK all on my part). Putting it in 1st and letting it drive without the tires let us examine the problem further. I think its the axel becasue my car never made that noise before. I took out the NAPA remanufactured PILE (second bad axel from NAPA in the span of 2 months) and put in my old one with the torn boot so i could drive her home. NO ticking with the old axel in so its gotta be the napa axel.

Just got a new replacement axel yesterday and don't have anytime to instal it rightnow cuz of school. So this projects gotta wait till the weekend :x

What would casue such a wierd tick and why would napa sell a part without testing ? :? Any ideas?

cause napa axles suck their own balls.....seriously, I broke one (like blew it up...) within 24 hours of when I bought it. it wasn't even worth exchanging, I don't want any more from them. I got a JY one, and it works better than anything I've ever had!
