Just notice that my rear wiper for my 93 impreza ls wagon is not working. Is there a fuse for it? Looked under the hood in the fuse box but said nothing in regards to the rear wiper.

Check for power at the motor itself.

i would also be looking at the motor, either its not getting juice (or grounded), or the motor itself is dead. and did this just happen since its been raining today?

there should be a fuse, a relay, and a switch,
add those to the list of problems that it could be.

Where would the fuse be located? I look on autozone's repair guide and after taking off the rear panel I can access the motor, but I rather not if I dont have to.

This may or may not be appicable, but I had a real hard time when I was trying to work on the rear wiper on one of my grand cherokee's, it turned out that if the hatch wasn't closed totally the wiper would not even get power. so if the wiper doesn't get power it might not be a bad idea to look for a switch?

would the fuse be under the dash to the left of the steering wheel closest to the drivers door?

If all else fails, I actually bought one of these for my old wagon - same year as yours, and never installed it. IF - and this is a big IF - I can find it, I'll let you know. It may have been given to Colin, if it wasn't ... it's in the garage ... *scared look toward the garage* .. with the mess.

That brings up a good point, Ive seen more then one impreza wagon that had the harness starting to get broken in half up where it goes into the door.

My 4runner has this as well. but AFAIK not on any subarus.

can you hear the motor running? the rear wiper mechanisms have plastic gears that are prone to stripping out.....the electrical part could be fine, but the mechanism is shot.

ditto. broken wires in the harness between body and hatch is the most likely culprit.

mine wont "park" so i have to pay attention and try and catch it when it is down if i dont want it stopped in the middle.

I'm dealing with this problem right now. The previous owner also cut the rubber wire cover/gasket in half so water is now leaking into the back of my wagon :(
