    Ebay Brand! ;)

There are some manufactures who now use the drill style but dont drill all the way thru the rotor. And there is also the new Diamond style was well.

Slotted is the way to go.

Even Porsche/Brembo rotors which are cast with the holes still crack.

Holy crap John, I never heard that your rotors cracked. Did you get any sort of deal from the frozenrotors.com guys??

They sorta took care of me, discount on replacements.

What surprises me is that at the track, Matt and I took temps after our cooldown lap. His was a good deal hotter then mine, yet they claim that it's because I overheated the rotors. They claim that it's only the second set they have seen like that since they have been in business.

I don't understand either. I know of at least four rally teams who use identical rotors to the ones I bought for my GC 4-pots that have seen numerous stage miles and haven't cracked, and that includes going from glowing hot to a one hour service in freezing temperatures at SnoDrift. Heck they didn't even warp doing that.

Just a wild guess.. overtorqued lug? (can't tell from the pic, but looks like the crack is going in that direction.

Otherwise, I may just be a manufacturing "glitch"

It was going towards a lug, but it was at 70 ft/lbs. Divirsified was surprised that my torque specs were so low.

Supposedly they sent it off to be analyzed, but never got back to me. I keep pushing that it was a defect, but they seem to feel it's my setup(heat). Whatever...

Was there any excessive heat coming from your hub? Maybe a lug heated up and expanded, pulling the nut tighter. Dunno where it would generate that sort of heat though... I'd be interested to see if they have any info for you, it's an intriguing mystery. Or it could just be a flawed rotor to begin with.
