I'm looking to learn about engine building/rebuilding in my spare time (I have a lot of it). I'm also attending Dunwoody for Automotive Aervice this fall and want to use my skills from there in making some cash on the side rebuilding Subaru shortblocks.

Where can I get my hands on blown EJ20/25 longblocks, or other blown turbo 4-banger engines (4g63, etc...)?

Quit my high-brow sales job to go back to Dunwoody and thought this could provide some more valuable experience. Ideas?

    Well

I have a kinda running EA82. What are you going to do with them after you rebuild them?
I was going to go thru this one at some point. Turbo isnt on it anymore. It was in my parts car and the crankcase was full of gas, pump wouldnt shut off.

Or I have just a long block EA82 that has headgasket blowing issues. Dont know if heads are cracked or block. You van have that one if you come get it.

I'm not looking to turn a large profit, but more learn the ins and outs of rebuilding engines and get a bit of money for the time I put into it. Blown up stuff seems the way to start. I'll take anything, especially that EJ205. It's the 02-05 wrx block, right?

    Well

If you want the bare long block you can have it, just come get it. Still sitting on the engine stand for now. I can give you the JDM intake that was on my new motor but all the wiring was cut off the dist and harnesses when I got it. Like I said thou there is no turbo on it.
Hanging onto that for a spare incase one of mine goes again. I dont know if it's worth sticking anything into thou. Not sure if the block is good or a head is cracked, but you can tear it apart and put it back together and not waste any money on it. Not much demand for EA82's anymore unless your me. lol

Also have a 2001 Mazda auto trans thats smoked you can tear apart. I havent made my run to the scrap yard yet to get rid of this stuff.

Up to you, just let me know.
