Went out to the real South Park Colorado (Fairplay, CO) and finally got to see my buddies new toy and absolute road monster. 2001 S4 with a stage 3 rs4 turbo kit, rs4 intercoolers, built tranny, endless engine build work and tuning, blah blah blah Well, after a few months of pure hell with breakdowns (Audi...of course) he finally has it running smooth. NOTE: This was on a closed course. seriously at 10,000 feet his car boosts 27psi, tapers off to 23 near redline I was literally slammed in the back of my seat through the first four gears and the car pulls very hard to 160. speedometer only goes to 170. I turned in my panties and cried for him to slow down sometime after that. I had no clue his car was that fast and for the past few months I've been calling BS to his claims. To give you a comparison. We embarrassed a 2005 or 06 zo6. A pull from 100 to 155 resulted the audi with at least 3 car lengths on the zo6. On top of all that his car sounds stock and looks like a normal s4 with minor mods....some wheels and dark tint Just wanted to share my experience. I was impressed! here's a pic of the kinda sleeper
I believe the story because I own the same exact car, just haven't gone the RS4 turbo upgrade yet. Saving up $$$$$ cause they aren't cheap (modding or fixing LOL) There are a few S4 in the TC with the K04 turbo upgrades. From personal experience, $$$$ to HP, the S4 can't touch the STi. When it comes to creature comfort... the S4 may have that and the sleeper look to brag about. I'll still take an STi over the S4 any day DOH!
