recent progress on my NON-subie *updated* my new gauges... we arent completely done with the gauges cause me and my dad accidentaly put some of the needles in the wrong spot! i got some c/f vynal from ebay...and i like it! lol most of these pieces wer painted red (and kinda runny) so i think this is better cause it doesnt stand out so much! i also have a red out kit for my tail lights that i will be putting on (hopefully) soon! and i am getting my valve cover powder coated as we speak, it should be back to me tues. or wed. i have stuff i am/planning on doing, so i will definately keep u updated! i hope u like my non-subie! lol what do u think?
looks nice, little too much c/f for me, but doesnt look bad on that car. now get your drivers license!
i dont think its all that much cf...but yeah! lol i think it looks pretty good! u should stop by and see it.
Blue gauges and red interior? Did I miss something here? a bit off topic, but what model talon is that and what power mods do you have?
Going by the gauge cluster, it is a TSi. It has a boost gauge under the tach. Whether it is FWD or AWD is unclear. I had a buddy with a TSi AWD and that same interior. I have only seen red interior in the Maroon/Burgundy color cars. Mine came with the Black Leather option. (just as rare as the red)
^^yeah, I seen the booooost gauge, but was wondering about the awd vs front. I loved my 92 eclipse, that sucka was fast for a young punk like me. I was lucky enough to live in Duluth at the time and have Archer Brothers Racing(DSM freaks! ) work on my car. I have to laugh though, I didn't know crap about tuning back then and just threw money at the car to make it faster....thankfully they never steered me wrong. eagle talon guy...you have a great project going...keep it up!
its a 93 eagle talon TSI AWD! i have an apexi N1 3" turboback catless exhaust to a 4.5" muffler, and a K&N filter for go fast parts. i have plans for more...but im only making $7 hr. and i barely get any hours (urgh) so yeah! i will post in here when i do more to it! thanx for all of the positive feedback.
u didnt miss anything! lol they r blue cause i didnt find any red ones like em for the price i got em...or for any price! but idk if i like the red int...someday i might swap some black int. in there!
tihs is what my valve cover looked like when i brought my valve cover to brad from TC powdercoating... this is after they got the chrome base coat on.. after the red transparent coat... and after i painted the letters with silver metallic touch-up paint.. i should have pics of it on my car prolly tomarrow!
Home Depot has black metric cap screws (bolts). Easier, probably cheaper, and will definately hold up better.
finally got around to puttin these on... IMO they look great wit my gauges! and dont worry...i JUST took that steering wheel cover off like a few minutes ago! lol
I am guessing that it is high temp thermoplastic, some plastics can withstand high high temps, that vinyl has a super low melting point
well finally i installed my red out kit. so here are the results! before: after: thers a bunch of pics for ya! haha i still have to do the passenger side light yet, i will finish it up tomarrow! FYI the pics of the center piece was before i trimmed off the excess vynal. and the brake lights on the side are a total PITA!! what do ya think?
LOL as soon as i seen that u had the last post....i knew exactly wat was gonna be said! hahaha i will keep try for em...but dont hold em for me.
