    moving to off-topic....then I'll respond :)

if you're talking about the service itself.......unless you're holding it in a bar and/or have matching purple tux's for the groomsmen, "wedding" and "DJ" should never appear in the same sentence. Uber tacky!!!!

Where will the wedding be? Twin Cities, I'm assuming. I play in a string quartet (the North Shore String Quartet.....website under construction...) based here in duluth, We charge $400 for an entire service (Prelude, processional, any music during the service, recessional and postlude). My mom coordinates a professional group (The Unicorn Ensemble, also, website under construction) based in the cities, her prices are more expensive, but she has rooms full of music (literally....my parents' house is full of music!), and 20 years of experience....and I also know of some other student groups in the cities that could do a great job for less.

if you're talking about the reception.....I can't help you :)

I may have someone local for ya, pm me about when an what you need and I will email him and let you know. He is 23/24yrs old, so he is at least kinda fun in comparison to some dj's you may have seen around here ;)

http://www.twincitiesdj.com/index.htm This is who we used. I think 3-4 of my cousins have used them now too. Chris was our dj and we were very pleased with the way he handled everything. I don't really remember how they compared price wise but I would recommend adding them to the list of places to check into.

    I had a great DJ.

But it was friend of mine who is a house DJ, who also happens to post on this site. Being a DJ myself I refused to have some chicken dance playing fool stand up there with an inflatable guitar.

This is for the reception, but I want someone with a good catalog of 80's and 90's stuff. Yes, the obligatory Chicken dance and Role out the Barrel will be requested. This will be on June 28th. I good sounding system is an obvious must.
