I bought a replica Syms rear wing for my 2004 STi. The carbon fiber center portion is very light, looks perfect, and appears to be great quality. The fiberglass end panels are unpainted and need some serious prep work to make them look right.

Here is a link to the part vendor's thread with pictures:

So, can anyone recommend a really good shop to properly prepare and paint these parts for me. I want the color match to be perfect and the prep will be critical as I also want OEM looking fitment. Anyplace within a reasonable drive (few hours) of Rochester would be fine.

    Thanks in advance!

^^^ There was more to it then that. I know how my side skirts were painted, and I can tell you that I would probably go elsewhere before *I* go back. I am also guessing that Steve-O will have the same thoughts. Again, that has been *MY* experience with them.

Thanks for the replies. I will start looking into Collision Corner and Autoworks Collision. Any other positive or negative reviews? Is there anyone with a good reputation for Corvette restoration (who should be very good at fiberglass work)?

I appreciate the help. I am new to body mods and want to make it look right. I am more concerned about having the prep work perfect because if I am not happy with the color match, I can always have someone else respray it, but if the prep is screwed up, then I am SOL.

Andrews of Princeton has recently started doing Subaru work. Their Har Mar Firestone pickup and insurance rentals makes it easy for twin citians, and I've been really happy with the work they've done. They're originally a Saab shop, but I think they're figuring out the Subies and their customer service is great.

I wound up going to my local Subaru dealer. They also sell Chevys and therefore do a lot of work on Corvettes. I figured they could handle working on the fiberglass parts.

These pictures don't really show it well, but it came out very nice I think:

    Hey AWD 101,

Andrews of Princeton has done work on my 86 XT acouple of times and I almost traded my SVX in on a 900c convert they had but they would not give me enough.

Anyway I'm not thread jacking, Just give another thumbs up to them. Nice shop and he is right, the customer service is great. I also recommend
Saints Acura and Honda Service Center of Princeton for service work. They dont do body work but I have never been treated better from anyshop.

    my 2 cents
