We pass thru Duluth frequently on our way to the cabin and I have often thought, "What if I had to get a vehicle repaired up here?" Where would I take it? Vehicle most likely would be a subie or full size gm truck. Peace of mind...Any recommendations? thanks

^That would be SVS Inc. They just moved to 4th and 4th West, right off Mesaba Ave. Phil is an excellent guy, and extremely knowledgeable. He specializes in imports, but has more than a little experience with GM (he rebuilt the 4L60 that is in my 4Runner). It's a small shop, so I assume they're pretty much open banker's hours, but that's probably the only bad thing.

I've also been pretty impressed with Miller Hill Subaru (I've been working in the parts department there for a few months now), it's a dealership with a very large service department, so it has it's drawbacks, but generally speaking everyone is pretty competent, and overall the service department always tries to do right by the customers. Also, they're warming to the idea of an MNSubaru discount, much like the one we get at Morries.....

Im glad your working in parts there now. When I was there 2years ago looking for downpipe nuts and studs the counter guy didn't know his ass from a hole in the ground.

It's been well over 10 years since I was there but Archer Racing was pretty good to deal with. That was back in the DSM days. Plus if you're into Vipers they had all their race cars in the shop to drool over.
