Anywhere know if you can buy this stuff locally? I just need 1 qt, so I imagine that shipping will cost considerably more than tax if I mail order. :p

    Thanks.

I was just going to ask if anyone has been there before. I went to their webpage, but the phone number they have listed there is no longer in service.

I'll probably stop down later this afternoon and see if they have stuff.

I picked up some Redline gear oil from them a little over a year ago. IIRC, they also had Shockproof in stock.

Well, I went to the address listed on their website (1014 Front Ave.). It's a house. :p I went to the back and there were some Mitsu cars parked there, so I parked and knocked the doors front and back but nobody answered.

The number on the website is disconnected so I don't know what to think. Needless to say, I didn't pick up any Redline. :p Just a word of caution in case anyone tries to go there.

If anyone is interested in a mail order for some stuff, we could maybe save on shipping costs doing that. I checked a website and shipping one bottle was the same as shipping three, so...

I might be interested in this 'group buy.' I need enough for my tranny and rear diff. Redline Heavywieght Shockproof. I think it comes out to 6 bottles for me.

Nah. No biggie. I saw it on http://www.redlineoil.com so was trying to get a hold of them anyway. They're only about 5 miles from where I work so it was no big deal.

I'll shop around tomorrow maybe and see if I can't find a place that sells the stuff online for cheap.

Isn't auto tranny fluid different than standard transmission fluid?

not 100% sure on the auto question...manual tranny and diff fluids are the same for sure though.

    Here is a newbie question.

I have a manual .. I need to change the fluid as well. So will be up for a group buy BUT is this the same as

    http://cobbtuning.com/wrx/drivetrain-i.html#gearoil

    ?

If not then what is so good about it? Also, im familiar with changing engine oil but never done a transmission/diff change.

No...not exactly the same thing...that is no slip. i believe we are talking about shockproof. close to the same thing though.

tranny/diff changes are easy, the old stuff just smells like ass. if we do this group buy we can have a oil change day.

I know a guy who is good friends with the guys that run QPR. He told me to pass this along:

Mike has had some health issues lately so he's been visiting the doctor a lot.

He's also had phone line problems, so that's why when you call it says "temporarily disconnect."

I communicate with Mike through PMs on a regular basis. He's in and out of the shop as the heat and his health allow him to, so patience is all that I can recommend.
