I had to remove a bunch of the plastic inner fender stuff. Basicly just a bunch of screws. Took maybe 20 minutes. As for better air flow I think it's in the eye of the beholder. Have I noticed any differance? No

better air flow? I doubt it. Worse air flow? I doubt it. Does it sound better? i think so. i thought this was worth it given the little amount of time it took to do and the fact that the guy before me had already cut a huge hole in the silencer, so it really wasn't doing anything anyway.

Like Ryan said about 20 minutes start to finish if you pull the wheel. You'll need a 10mm and maybe a flat head to pop a couple plastic rivets. Make sure to seal up around the hole for the air box with something like weather striping and to buy a fender plug for the front hole.

Did mine 2 weeks ago. Sound is more like Honda(sort of) little louder sucking noise. also I can feel low end performance little bit more.

How do you figure... air from the fender is not going to be any warmer than air from the front of the car. Air in the fender would be coming from the front of the car anyway.

If you got that Silencer bottom cut off, removing the Passenger Fog Light will help alot. Air goes directly into the Filter....hehehe..

Less, if any, air flow. Air just sitting there is only going to heat up from the surrounding heat sources (engine bay, tires/rotors). Most likely not very much at all but you can't argue that the stock setup isn't better at delivering more fresh air.

I've seen people get the fog light bezel and rig up a ram aim style inlet to the air box. You could probably rig it up for around the price of the GP Moto elbow.

I think that will depend on the year of the car. I have 3 big holes right next to my fog lights that bring in fresh air to the fender area. I have monitored air temps for the past 6 years and the inner fender in my car (02) seems to be the coldest air to get. Now I haven't had a chance to check out the 06+ wrx's too see what kinda air holes that body has.

i did it on my GD6, maybe it is just my imagination, but i thought it made a difference in performance, and it made a huge difference in gas mileage.
