I own an '05 STi an had a fender-bender a while back. Might need to replace my hood - not sure at this point if repairing will be cheaper or even possible. Would probably just replace it w/ the stock oem hood and hoping I might be able to do the labor myself. I Googled for a hood but all I saw was carbon fiber. Anyone know where I can order the hood? Any other info (cost, etc.) would also be greatly appreciated.

i had that problem and i just bought a new oem hood...it comes un painted and you can buy it in the for sale section and get a deal from one of the dealerships. %20 of if i remember right so it tends to be cheaper unless you know someone and depending on how bad it is

    Thanks for the advice.

I'm still a newbie, so forgive my ignorance, but are you talking about the Vendor Sales/Discounts area on this site? If so, do I just post an open thread like a want ad saying I'm looking for an oem hood?

Also, if you don't mind my asking, what did you pay for the hood and how much did it cost to have it painted?
