How would you let it idle if you disconnected the battery?

You don't have to let it idle or do anything fancy. Just unplug the battery and you're fine. You can also reset the ECU with a laptop and RomRaider or ECUExplorer.

Probably a stupid question here...but here it goes!

When resetting your ecu, does that mean you lose any tune you have on your ecu? Does it revert back to it's stock map after resetting?

Ya positive is always on the longest.. reduces spark/arcs. So pull off negative cable.

Nope, there is no way to lose a basemap tune, short of reflashing or getting another physical ECU. Resetting the ECU loses all the RAM data, which includes AFR and knock learning numbers.

I dontwant to jinx myself so my hesitation comes back but I am now a firm beleiver that everyone should reset there ecu every 6 months or before and after winter or summer. That is all.
