I was coming out of lifetime fitness in Chanhassen at about 5:45 today when I saw this piece of crap entering. I u turned and took some pics...check it out, its hard to see but the kit looked like it was only taped on and the front was falling apart. It's the classic "I have a body kit and not enough $$$ to get it painted" YAY 4 HONDUH
those rear wheels are axis mods...retail is like $260 a peice...and he doesnt have money to do a body kit right? I've got some pics on my camera I'll load as soon as I get new batteries. Its of an eclipse I saw on 394 that had a huge wing and didnt have a single body panel that wasnt some unpainted aftermarket variation of the next. None of them lined up either.
haah nice, I am sure he is going to get it painted but one thing I noticed was that there was NO intercooler or any sort, so its pretty much all show no go at least there is no huge wing
well maybe the guy had one painted and broke it so he got a new one to replace and hasnt painted it yet. i think u should give him a chance first.
why is it that honda's always have steelie's on the front and nice rims in the back anyone know the answer? Can they not afford 4 of the same wheels? I shouldn't say anything though i got 3, six spoke wrx wheels and one legacy wheel.
I've seen it so many times. I think they sell their factory wheels to afford the aftermarket wheels, and then winter comes and they are like oh snap. Then they get two steelies for the front, and deal with no grip in the back from the summer tires. damn kids
Its the look. Basically its suppose to have more of a drag racing look. But most of the Honda's out there with steelies up front dont even have any sort of a sport tire at all. I remember this summer I was at Square Lake and my cuzin's ex boyfriend had a 94 teggy( sorry gsrstar). WITH SNOW TIRES ON THE FRONT!!! He was trying to show off by doing burnouts!!! lol I was like "uh you know those are some expensive ass snow tires right?" aww man. What an idiot.

I live in the Coon Rapids area and there is a Honda Civic with the cheap wing and body kit, but it says Pizza Hut Rally Team or something like it on there, plus it has stickers for all the other "mods" he has done , the thing is it has no "go" whatsoever,he rolled up and started reving the engine and took off and I had to teach him a lesson, and no show unless you are a fan of Pizza Huts "Rally Team". :eek3:
it's pretty common to see that in Australia with the RWD cars..most of the time it's because they've been doing burnouts and can't replace the rubber on their 18z or 19z
I'm pretty sure that isn't the case as I see all of the same idiots running around on the steelies in the summer also. The best bodykit I ever saw was in Hopkins on an older Accord. It was made out of GARDEN EDGING and was spraypainted. lol.

I found another specimen in my parking lot today.....2nd gen eclipse GS 2.0L NA with 20" CHROMEZZZZZZZZZ I am still trying to get a picture of this orange cavaler with a nasty body kit and dual exhaust out the center of the rear bumper. I think he works at integris off of highway 41
yea, that guy is actually nice, he has that flame job audi and a blue one also. He just got a really nice A4 2.0 which is gold
You talking about the O'riely one? The little red civic with the light bar on the bumper? If so the car is a joke. Its his winter car. Drives an SRT4 in the summer
ooooohh man, im not even gonna ask why you guys are prejudiced against hondas. But if you think its tough being an import enthusiast and being lumped in the same category as "ricer hondas" try being a Honda owner and never escaping the image......Just remember that without Hondas in the 90's(and unfortunately the ricer scene) the import scene today would be a lot smaller. In any case, not all Hondas are bad, at least TRY to see that
i like hondas, i just like to make fun of the lack of torque too but honestly, ide drive any honda before i drove any VW, or mitsu.
I think if the import scene were smaller, we'd have more quality and less quantity. Not to say I don't appreciate a well tuned car of any brand name. But there is an abundance of early 90's automatic Accord sedans with missing hubcaps and fartcans tearing around the cities. GOD I want my car to be finished.
if the tuner scene wasn't commercialized we would have plenty of quality. Got to find those hardcore people and deal with them only HEH.

Even though a smaller import scene MAY lead to better quality, a lot of the products that we take for granted wouldnt exist. Because the scene is soo big, we are able to have Off the shelf turbo kits, Engine Management options, etc. If the scene where smaller, most of the products would either be custom or produced in such small quantities that prices would be outrageous.
imo i really dont think the scene would be much different because if the 80s had muscles all around, im sure someone will get sick of that and start with the other breed of cars... i dont think any body said hondas were made bad but when people try to make there car a lil more show and do so cheaply it kinda kills the purpose of show car. as for speed depends on how the driver actually modded his car..
