Yesterday I filled up with a tank of BP 93 octane in Glenview, IL and headed for home. Amazingly I made it all the way to the BP station at 3rd and Franklin right by the MIA.

411.5 miles, refilled with 14.036 gallons for a healthy score of 29.3 mpg on the return trip.

The drive musta been pretty boring cause I have never been able to achieve that kind of mileage.

Nice. I think that my record average over a tank of gas was something like 28.8 mpg.

What's even better is that my mpg went up after getting the AP and pipes. :D

Yeah, mine is stage 4...anyone can get that kind of mileage just having the discipline to stay in vacuum and on cruise control though.

I also think it was a very calm day, so it helped not having to fight a headwind.

I can get 31 MPG at best on a slight downhill road, but maintaining that in my car is impossible. :p

the most i've gotten in my car is a whooping 27.6 mpg. that's shifting before 2.5k, and keeping under 60 mph. also, i drove a lot in neutral when going downhill... just not enough to make a difference.
