I was cruising around another Subaru site I frequent often and came across this link while looking at different wheel options and sizes.

The best thing I thought about this "calculator" was the addition of Offset. This may help people with questions understand how offset will move the wheel around inside the fender and get a better idea what type of situations might arise i.e. fender clearance, bearing stress, etc.

Is there a warning for when you're getting into the "Full Retard" category as far as stretching tires?

No, I tried. It also doesn't show you visually how stupid your 225 tires will look on a 9+ inch wide wheel. It just shows a square tire on the wheel.

Lol, wait, I didn't even notice this, but it forces you to use correct width tires. I didn't see it auto correcting before. If you try to put a 225 on a 9" wide wheel it automatically changes the tire to 245. Awesome.

I was wondering if you could just punch "HerraFrush" into it and get a result?

That's reassuring to know. I may have to do some playing around with this at some point.

Yeah, start with the standard impreza 17x7.5 225/45/17 then in comparison section go 225/40/18 and then try setting width to 18x9.

This website is a hater, it won't let me configure a 185/50R/18 to get that mad-tyte stretch. Just like all the haters, it doesn't know what's cool.

Apparently I SHOULD be able to run 265's with a little different offset... I find this hard to believe.
