That color looks different in every picture I've seen.

Came here to say this. I need to just see it in person to make up my mind about it.

Is the “series gray” different than the “50th anniversary gray edition”?

Oh yeah. Different badging inside and out. BRZ looks pretty good in the gray khaki, imo.

I think I saw it there a few weeks ago. I could snap some pictures as I swing by Fleet Farm tonight after work.

Maybe it's just me, but the shift knob looks different in Rochester Subaru's pics vs what is on Subaru's website. wonder what is going on there...

The bottom picture is the weighted STI knob. SO much nicer and has an incredible feel in the hand. Perforated leather and aluminum exterior.

So it's likely someone swapped it out? There is a more detailed pic on fb, shows the STI letters on the knob.

I asked the dealer and they guessed the wrx won't get the red one. I feel like someone swapped it out and they had no idea.

I drove by the lot tonight and didn't see it outside, it's probably in the showroom. I didn't have time to waste so I can't confirm the shift knob, and no pics.

I think they need to bring back the Blurple 2011-2014 and Hyper Blue 2016 colors back. I would have chosen either of these over black had I had the choice.

Got word from Subaru customer service, only the STI come with the red shift knob. Mystery solved.
