It was a good time. Next year i need to have the WRX run. I was amazed at how many runs you can get in.... i mean you can run until you are blue in the face. Things include below. BEST GOLF CART EVER an electric bike that set a drag record & 9 second snowmobile... that kicked a bunch of drag race a$$
lol. the Civic had some BIG SLICKS on the front. He had made the car a right driver and had a pretty big turbo on it. He was running 13's most of the time. I don't believe he got below 12. There was two of them... both very slow through 1st and 2nd but they got into 3rd and really took off. They were catching up to the mustangs and vetts that were there... the civics usually had a higher top speed at the end of the track. here is the engine
there was a good amount of cars there. but people were tuning and testing so they weren't running and lining back up. they would go back to the tailor and tweaking, then running. This allowed the line to be pretty small. The cool thing was there there were cars running the whole time we were there.... from about 10am - 4pm, in that 6 hours there was little to no down time. Charlie blew up the RX-7. He lined up against Zero in the Miata. Zero took off and had a huge lead on the RX-7. Charlie started to kick it down but you can see a puff of smoke come out of his car right before he goes out of view of my camera phone (15 seconds). Best I saw from that car was a 13.03. He made a number of runs through the day and then blew a hole in the trans. The car was a dog out of the hole.
rx7's are so cool looking! If I was single I'd get one, I think that car is too sexi for a guy to own and not get laid 24/7 by all kinds of girls.
Well the one we took out to Rockfalls looked extra nice with the wide body kit. Oh did I mention that Charlie has 3 different RX-7's and they are all a different gen!
I have been admiring the cars there and finally saw the one in the pictures driving around just the other day. I'm real sorry to hear about the "Blow up".
