Not a fan of the paint job, steering wheel, chaser lights across the dash...this car could have definitely been executed better. Pretty sweet chassis and engine tho! The car looks waaaay better with the body off of it! lullz

    $195,000:facepalm:

I agree with the above. The body/work paint looks pretty bad to me, but the fully machined chassis is incredible!

It was up for sale at over $300k 2 years ago. I wonder what the total build cost was. Hell, I wonder what the total materials cost was. Those inboard disc brakes are pretty damn sweet. I don't "get" hot rod (or any) show cars but I certainly admire the work and thought put into them.

Haha - No matter what your opinion on looks or styling is...its an amazing machine. I mean a 100% re-engineered entirely billet car? Holy crap! Plus a twin supercharged billet 2 liter VW engine?? Drool...

I've got a soft spot for original pancakes...we had three cars growing up a '67 rusted out VW bus (had a propane heater to boot) and a '71 VW bug. And..we had a '79 turd brown GL...

And if you are not a fan of Ghia's... tell me this is not awesome...

Is that yellow one from around here? I talked to someone with an STI powered VW at Rock Falls before.

I'm guessing he is since that dyno vid is from RS motors.

If I had an STi swapped Ghia, I wouldn't trade it for an FXT.

Oops, I didn't actually watch the video.

I think it was running low 11's with a VF when I saw it. I don't remember what he said it weighed, but it was very low.
