If anyone else on here is considering this mod, I have a couple pointers which could save you a nice chunk of change.

    http://jyg.us/wrx/gmbcs/

Check that website to get started. I ordered the solenoid for $9 from gmpartsdirect.com, and it ended up being about $17 shipped. They wanted another $20 for the harness, but I skipped it.

A couple nights ago I was digging around in some bins at Axman Surplus in St Louis Park and just so happened to find EXACTLY the right connector (which the guy let me have for free). It didn't have terminals in it though. Yesterday I made a quick stop at Village Chevrolet and a guy in the parts department knew exactly what to look for, so $2.20 later I had the terminals for the connector. I got home and crimped and soldered everything together, including the $1.29 resistor inline with the wire going to the positive terminal.

Moral of the story is, save your $20 and make your own harness for about $4 or so. Whee! Hope to have pics after I put it on this weekend. I also did some 4th gear pulls last night so I will be able to document the change in spoolup from the stock BCS to the GM one. 85% humidity last night sucked, I only hit 4.2 MAF volts once.

    haha!

Actually, the same guy that originally explained why you use a resistor goes on to say 5 pages later that it's not needed. Also, about half the people seem to be using the brass restrictor in the vacuum hose between the compressor outlet and factory T, half are not using it. I can't tell which to do.

Where can I find some appropriately sized vacuum hose if I want replacements? NAPA?
