I'm planning to add a roof spoiler or rear window visor on my bugeye but having trouble deciding which one to go with, so naturally I'm seeking the expert opinions of my esteemed fellow MNSubie members. Here's what I'm looking at:

    HIC rear window visor
I like the shape except for the little upturn at the back edge, plus HIC is supposedly a reputable brand so fitment would likely be decent.

    Speedzone rear window visor
I like this one too, but there's an odd indented section in the center so it ends up being shaped kind of like a wagon spoiler.

    Kakumei roof spoiler
Not crazy about the shape here, seems too small and doesn't really add much to the car. Only real plus is that it's available in carbon fiber so it'd match the roof.

And finally, here's a photo of my Bugeye for reference. Let me know what you guys think!

I actually like the 06/07 OEM vane.

You mean the "vortex generator" one or the actual spoiler? I'm not really a fan of either to be honest, and I want something that covers the rear edge of the roof because there's a small gap at the back of the carbon roof panel.

yeah I'm a fan of the OEM one as well. but if I had to chose from your poll I would go with HIC.

Don't these kinda look like you're car is wearing a flat bill cap backwards? ;)

The other option I was looking at is basically a modified M3-style trunk lip, which I think doesn't look too bad

I like the Kakumei unit (and have one). Roof spoilers look kind of stupid the bigger they get. Likewise, your trunk lip is modest and subtle. The silhouette of your car would look at odds with a big duckbill off the roof and nothing to balance the back.

You make a valid point and I totally agree. The Kakumei and the modified M3-style are probably my favorites for their subtlety. If my STI spoiler wasn't on Josh's car now I might go with one of the others. Just wish the Kakumei was a little cheaper (~$165 shipped for the carbon one).

I'd sell you my flat black one for much less if you're seriously interested.

That's not a bad idea. Wouldn't hurt to put it on and see how I like it before ordering a new CF one. PM me with details when you can.

Just buy Lee's and get it wrapped with CF vinyl. Profit?

Thinking about it, but I'm worried it'd look weird right next to actual carbon fiber. Might be better off just leaving it black.

Its very well documented that everything of Lee's is either defective, broken beyond reasonable repair, too small, flaccid, and/or overpriced.

That said, my vote is for any kakumei one... Except for Lee's.
