13.99 or 23.99? I believe Rotella T is on sale for 13.99 and T6 is on sale for 23.99.

Their circular lists rotella t 15w40 at 13.99 and a friend posted on Facebook this week about the t6 being on sale for 23.99 + rebate. If t6 is 8.99 after rebate, I'll gladly **** a brick.

I can confirm that it IS NOT T6 that is $12.99. I thought this was the case last weekend as well because they had the T6 on the rack that showed the $12.99 sale, but when it rang up, it was $23.99. I talked my way into them crediting me back the difference since the signage was confusing. They are well aware that places like Menards sell it cheaper and I think that's why they were willing to give me some money back, to keep me from flat out returning it and going to Menards.

The fs section will yield the results you are looking for. Just an FYI, rotella is most commonly sold in gallon jugs. Most Subarus require only 4qts. If you need more than 4, you can buy an extra gallon or walmart sells single quarts.

Sorry, I didn't mean to come off as a jackass...but I got caught up in the same situation. I asked the check out person about it and they were confused as to why it was ringing up $23 when the sign said $13.99. As soon as we walked over and looked, I saw the fine print of the sign said it was only for the T5. You could probably finagle your way to get the T6 for $13.99 like I did, but it's probably hit or miss. The funny thing is, I had to swing back for some supplies to change the gf's oil and they still had the T6 under that same $13.99 sale sign

4qts is not enough for most Subarus unless you're only partially draining the used oil which I'm assuming nobody is. I typically put in anywhere from 4.5-5qts...just let the dipstick decide for me. If I remember correctly from my NA Subaru days, even those called for 4.5qts.

I've always used exactly 5 qts which brings the oil level right to the full mark on the dipstick.

On almost every oil change I have done on a 2.5L subaru, I have put in 4-4.25 qts and I have let it drain for a minimum of 5 min while the engine is still warm. Most capacities say 4.6-4.8 qts per fill. Regardless, you will need either two gallons or you'll have to go buy it buy the quart at Walmart.

i usually ran 6 quarts...I liked the high compression...made it go faster.

But seriously. ej255 and ej257 take about 4.5 quarts. usually start with 4 then add till the full line. I know this since i pissed me off every damn time i did an oil change...which turned to winging it every time...
